Mission Connections
The Anglican Parish of Wakatipu has made the commitment to support several missions.
We encourage you to click on the links below and read the details of those missions.
We invite you to pray for the mission workers, the people they minister to and, when their ministry touches your hearts, to support them financially. God Bless.
MARLENE VAN TONDER IN SOUTH SUDAN
In 2013 Marlene became the first parishioner from the Anglican Parish of Wakatipu to travel to Africa and be part of a team working for African Inland Mission in South Sudan.
Prior to her departure, Marlene worked for 3 years as a full-time primary school teacher at Kingsview Christian School in Frankton.
After working for two years in South Sudan, Marlene returned to Queenstown for a period before returning in August 2016.
At present, Marlene serves among the Lopit people where she trains teachers at the local schools as part of the evangelistic outreach. Marlene also shares time with neighbours in prayer and Bible study.
